It should be an event location with charm. Genuinely Hamburg, please, and of course with plenty of character. Quiet and a little unusual. But still equipped with all the amenities. That sounds just like the Großer Michel event ship! The former harbour ferry is just as suitable for enchanting weddings with a maritime theme as it is for cool, professional business events. You can look forward to state-of-the-art event technology, a pleasant room climate, comfortable seating and our excellent catering. And you won't have to do without any of the details you want - but you'll still get plenty of flair!
Hanseatic harbour tradition with a modern twist
For 36 years, the Grosser Michel tirelessly transported guests - curious tourists as well as real Hamburg residents. The Doose family then gave the harbour ferry a second life as a modern event ship. However, the crew has not yet dropped anchor for good! Depending on your wishes, your event can take place in the harbour or on a trip out at sea. Hamburg harbour at its most beautiful. Location steeped in history
The Große Michel was christened almost 70 years ago. In the meantime, the harbour ferry has been lovingly restored, renovated and transformed into an ideal event location.

The Le Carrousel team and the Doose family agree on one thing: your event can be a concert of your dreams. Thanks to well-established cooperation and a large network of partners, we can fulfil (almost) every event wish on the Grosser Michel event ship.

On warm summer evenings we open the lounge roof. In winter, the interior is well heated.

It has to taste good to you! Whether it's a maritime festive menu or vegan appetisers, gluten-free cake or fine wine tasting - our chefs will flexibly tailor the tasting to your preferences and diet. Of course, there is also a bar on board.
Sound as you wish
PA system, DJ, live band or the magnificent Hamburg Shanty Choir have plenty of space on the event ship.
Overnight stays possible
A special service for guests who have travelled from abroad: six to eight guests can spend the night in the ship's single and double cabins.

You can easily reach us by public transport (U3 station Baumwall) or with your own vehicle.
